I am a Christian laywoman trying to follow Jesus through a life of prayer and action. I have spent time over the years with both Ignatian and Benedictine religious communities learning their spiritualities, and have knowledge of a number of prayer traditions.

I trained in Spiritual Direction on the 2-year course on Ignatian Spiritual Accompaniment held at St Bede’s Pastoral Centre in York, which was led by Cecilia Goodman CJ, an outstandingly gifted spiritual guide and mentor. I trained in retreat direction at St Beuno’s Spirituality Centre where I was a residential member of the team and where I directed retreats and helped train spiritual directors and prayer guides.

I offer spiritual accompaniment and retreats to individuals, as well as quiet days, weeks of guided prayer, experiential prayer workshops and retreats to parish and other groups. I also offer time-limited vocations guidance for people trying to discern what path in life God is calling them to follow.

I am a trained supervisor and offer supervision to spiritual directors.

I have an MA in Christian and Pastoral Theology from Heythrop College, London.

While most people who come for spiritual direction are Christians, I am open to working with people unsure of their faith but seeking God.

Preparing for Advent 2021

I am offering a mixture of ways to prepare for Advent this year: with input, individually guided retreats, and quiet days with the opportunity for a one-off session of spiritual direction.

These will all take place at the Sussex Heritage Centre (see below) at the end of November.

If you are interested in joining one or more of these, please book though Sussex Heritage Centre via the link further down this page.

Individually Guided Retreats

If you’ve often wondered about trying a retreat, but not known what to expect or whether it’s for you, why not check out the short 2- and 3-day retreats which are ideal for beginners, as well as being perfect for people who can only afford a few days away or cannot manage weekends. For more information on Individually Guided Retreats (IGRs) look at the ‘Retreat’ section. Maybe this is the year you ‘put out into the deep’ and meet God trustingly in the silence.

These IGRs are all based at the Sussex Heritage Centre. Book online with them at http://sussexheritage.co.uk

I am now working as the Retreat Director for the Sussex Heritage Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a retreat and pilgrimage centre in the countryside close to the historic town of Arundel. They can offer accommodation, meals and activities for small and large groups. Take a look at what they offer…
